Dev felt quite dizzy. He blinked. He just stared at Beth, not really wanting to be her knight in shining something. He wasn't exactly up for the job. He was shit-faced as it was and he had to act all normal.
"Just a moment." He gave her a serious look, then Izzy and trotted off to the loo to throw up.
It wasn't long til he saw that Izzy had found him. He had massive tears to go along with the throw up.
"Better?" Izzy wanted to know. He handed him a wet handkerchief then.
"Sorry." He blinked away tears wishing it wasn't this way. "What am I going to do?"
"I told you." Izzy was much more cold than Dev expected. Soon enough they were out to find the car. Actually it belonged to Izzy's mum, but since she was gone the girls used it occasionally. Especially for trips to the airport.
Thankfully, Izzy managed quite well with the carriage while Dev set in the back with Beth. It was just as going somewhere in a taxi or so Dev thought as he drifted off quietly in sleep. He just found it so hard to face the fact they were back. Even if it were getting darker by the minute, it was totally dark by the time they got to Izzy's.
"Well, I'm off." He could walk from here. Not but a few blocks away from his Mum's.
"Oh, no you don't." Beth hugged him so.
"Please," Dev winced thinking he'd throw up on the girl, but he belched instead which didn't help matters. He guessed.
"Dev, you know what you need to do." Izzy reminded him even lipped as he unloaded the bags and carried them in.
"No, I don't believe I do." Dev stood there looking at the both as if he'd forgot.
"Come on." Beth squeezed his hand and dragged him up, practically all the steps. Before he knew it, he was sitting in the kitchen and Beth was frying up bacon.
The stench was overwhelming.
"I do think I'm sick." He scowled slightly at the thought of a breakfast sandwich. Of course, Izzy was no where in sight. Dev's head was throbbing. He went to see the bags still there in the livingroom floor. No sign of Izzy. A cold chill came over Dev. Izzy was going to leave him hanging. Was that it?
