Tea in bed would have been great. Of course, Dev was dreaming. Now wasn't he? He opened one eye to see the rain hit the window. It was daylight. He yawned. Naturally, he'd gotten up in the night and turned the air conditioning, way down. It was fridged now, and he snuggled under the covers, rolling next to Izzy to keep warm.
"What?" Izzy made an effort but went back down on his pillow.
"Are you on the job today?" Dev didn't have to go in until the later afternoon. He worked at the pub and usually handled the five o'clock madness. He could sleep all day, he imagined.
"Ten. I go in." Izzy mumbled.
"What time is it now?" Dev didn't really want to know. He didn't want Izzy to leave, either.
"How should I know?" Izzy winced.
"Just tell them your ill." Dev didn't see why Izzy felt like facing anyone.
"I can't." Izzy sighed, rolling over to his back.
"Yeah, you could." Dev turned to him. And then it shocked him. Oh, it was morning and something always happened every morning like clock-work.
"Dev-" Izzy started as if something alive touched his leg, only he had jammies on and Dev didn't.
"What? Don't you have one too?" Dev winced.
"JESUS! GET SOME CLOTHES ON!" Izzy told him.
"I'm just saying, its quite natural, in the morning to have a hard on, you know." Dev told him.
"Forget it." Izzy told him. "I don't want to see it."
"Don't blame me, if you got up on the wrong side of the bed." Dev got up then with nothing on. He went to the bathroom. It was no more than a closet in the mum's room. Even so, Dev needed some privacy.
